Well that didn’t take long. Back in May 2019, Marvel announced two television shows on the darker side of things, Ghost Rider and Helstrom to stream on Hulu. A few months later, Ghost Rider was cancelled before it ever aired, but Helstrom actually made it to series. However, it seems that show is also no longer, ending the series after one season.
It wasn’t that big of a surprise that the series did not last. It was developed under the Marvel Television division under Jeph Loeb, and that division was folded into Marvel Studios, with Loeb departing. Now it seems that most of Marvel’s smaller screen efforts will focus on the established and expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe, with no live-action shows that started under Marvel Television in active development.
