The global pandemic has been causing all kinds of trouble with the entertainment industry this year. Even the giant blockbuster films have been affected, leaving Marvel with no Marvel Cinematic Universe film out this year. DC did release Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) in February, but Wonder Woman 1984 has been bounced around on the release schedule. Wonder Woman 1984 director director Patty Jenkins has been adamant that the film be released on the big screen, and in September it was announced that it would be so this Christmas.
However, today, there is a twist.
The plan is still to release the film on Christmas in theaters… but the film will also be released on the streaming service HBO Max. Bonus, it is at no extra cost to existing HBO Max subscribers.
For the first time ever, #WonderWoman1984 will release in theaters and stream exclusively on @HBOmax* on December 25.

So how will you be unwrapping the film on Christmas Day? At home or in theaters?
