New York Comic Con hosted a virtual panel with the cast and creator of the upcoming Hulu/Marvel series M.O.D.O.K.. Originally announced as part of a slate of four animated Marvel series culminating in a crossover called The Offenders, M.O.D.O.K. might be the last one standing… err floating… as both Tigra & Dazzler and Howard the Duck have been axed, and no updates about Hit Monkey has been spotted for months.
Anyway, Patton Oswalt will be the head of the series, voicing the ‘ol Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing and he hosted the panel today. Alongside him were the other cast members Ben Schwartz, Melissa Fumero, Aimee Garcia, and series co-creator Jordan Blum. Here is how the series is described:
“In the series, the megalomaniacal supervillain has long pursued his dream of one day conquering the world. But after years of setbacks and failures fighting the Earth’s mightiest heroes, M.O.D.O.K. has run his evil organization A.I.M. into the ground. Ousted as A.I.M.’s leader, while also dealing with his crumbling marriage and family life, M.O.D.O.K. is set to confront his greatest challenge yet: a midlife crisis!”
You can get a taste of the stop motion animation by Stoopid Buddy in the first few minutes of the panel:
Before the panel, Entertainment Weekly also provided a sneak peek, with some still images and an article.
