The Sands Shift: ‘Dune’ Delay Affects Premiere Dates Of ‘The Batman’ & Other DC Movies

It looks like the newest Dune movie is changing its start date, and with that will worm its way into DC‘s movie schedule, also being produced by Warner Bros. Yes, this includes DC’s flagship (sorry Superman), Batman, who was expected to show off his newest incarnation with The Batman. Dune was expected to start on December 18, 2020, but has been shifted to October 1, 2021.

Date sound familiar? Well, it was the reshuffled date for The Batman, so now that film has been kicked to less spooky date of March 4, 2022. That is not the only DC movie having its date changed (again):

  • The Flash moves from June 3, 2022 to November 4, 2022
  • Shazam 2 bolts from November 4, 2022 to June 2, 2023
  • Black Adam loses its December 22, 2021 date and goes undated

Phew.

Well, we’ll see if these dates stick.
