Well, we wouldn’t quite call it amazing and it isn’t involving the Shocker, but it seems like Jamie Foxx is in talks to reprise his 2014 Amazing Spider-Man 2 role as Electro/Max Dillon in the next Spider-Man movie. Yes, this would be the next Marvel Cinematic Universe Spider-Man movie produced by Sony, starring Tom Holland as Spidey.
It shouldn’t be a surprise that Electro would be in the next Spider-Man movie with a director named John Watts. It also might give a clue to what might be happening in the third movie, since — SPOILER for Spider-Man: Far From Home — the mid-credits had J.K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson in the last movie. Doctor Strange may not be the only one who is in the Multiverse of Madness.
We’ll see what happens. The third MCU Spider-Man movie is currently scheduled for December 17, 2021 (but you know, pandemic).
