Amazon Studios and Bethesda Game Studios teased a new project today, a new streaming series based on Bethesda’s popular Fallout videogame franchise. Fallout started life in 1997 as a game published by Interplay Productions, but the franchise is now in the hands of Bethesda. As hinted in by the name, the game takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, but this retrofuture has a 1950s aesthetic. The main series has four games, but there have been many spin-off, and now there will be a streamed series.
The show will be brought to you by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, who helped birth the modern Westworld series. No release date was announced for the Fallout show, but it is currently being developed and already has a series commitment. So please stand by.
