In a first for the company, a Predator has left Dark Horse Comics and is taking an Alien with it. According to its new unofficial PR wing IGN, Marvel Comics has acquired the rights to the Alien vs Predator franchise.
The publisher hasn’t announced any creative teams or titles yet, but they did release teaser images by David Finch, a longtime DC Comics mainstay.
Dark Horse has been publishing Alien and Predator stories since 1988 and 1989, respectively. The publisher has been losing licenses in recent years including Star Wars and Conan to Marvel and Buffy The Vampire Slayer to BOOM! Studios.
