Well, I guess this was DCeased related after all.
Yesterday, Tom Taylor teased a new DC Comic project with Dustin Nguyen (alright he never outright said the artist’s name but you just know his amazing style of art). Today, we not only got announcement of the project, DCeased: Hope at World’s End, but also the release date– TODAY.
Yes, #1 of the fourteen-part online comic series premiered it’s first issue today. I haven’t read it myself since also released today was the finale to DCeased: Unkillables #3 (but now I kind of will). The series will follow the stories that can be told in the time jump of the original DCeased #5 (though I doubt just that as #1 deals when the virus was originally unleashed, and we very well know one lead of this series was already infected by #5). The mini-series will feature characters such as Jimmy Olsen (who’ll be the focus of #1), Damian Wayne, Jon Kent, Stephanie Brown (as Robin), Wally West, Black Adam, Martian Manhunter, Black Manta, and more.
Not only that, but the series will have a robust line-up of artists not only just Nguyen. So far, Renato Guedes, Carmine Di Giandomenico and Marco Failla will also be doing art duties for the series.
The series will of course pave the way for DCeased: Dead Planet which will be published next month (i.e. the surviving heroes return to Earth after they receive a plea for help from probably those that remained in Gotham City).
Here’s a preview of #1
The series will drop two issues a month and again the first will be release today.
