San Diego Comic Con Cancelled Due To Coronavirus Pandemic

This year’s San Diego Comic Con, the world’s largest pop culture convention, has been cancelled due to the current coronavirus pandemic. It was set to take place July 23-26 in San Diego. Next year’s is scheduled to occur July 22-25, 2021.

“Extraordinary times require extraordinary measures and while we are saddened to take this action, we know it is the right decision,” said Comic-Con spokesperson David Glanzer. “We eagerly look forward to the time when we can all meet again and share in the community we all love and enjoy.”

Badges for the 2020 convention can be refunded online or transferred to next year’s convention.

This is the first time in the convention’s 50 year history that it has been cancelled.
