The Master of Kung Fu will return with a new limited series this Summer. Shang-Chi, will of course, feature Shang-Chi himself written by Gene Luen Yang (American Born Chinese), with art by Dike Ruan and Phillip Tan. Covers for the series will be by Jim Cheung, who also designed Shang-Chi’s new costume.
Marvel describes the new limited series’ premise:
Shang-Chi’s fight for justice will collide with his past. When the hero finds himself pulled back into the fold, no one will be ready for what will be unleashed. With a target on his back after the revitalization of his father’s secret society, the balance of power will shift in an epic tale of succession, family, and betrayal.
Though no longer being called Fu Manchu due to licensing issues, Shang-Chi will still have his evil father issues with Zheng Zhu… plus he will also have to deal with his father’s other children…
Shang-Chi will kick over stands this June. That should give some time before the Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings releases on February 12, 2021. If you want more recent adventures of the Master, you can also read him as part of the Agents of Atlas team.
