Dan DiDio Out As Co-Publisher At DC Comics

Dan DiDio is out at DC Comics. He served as Co-Publisher of the company since 2010 alongside Jim Lee. Before this he was VP Executive Editor for six years and before that, VP Editorial. Lee is expected to take the lead as Publisher.

DiDio was one of the main contributors to the relaunch of DC Comics in 2011 with The New 52. Sales were initially great until both sales and fan buzz dissipated. This led to the company relaunching again in 2016 with Rebirth. His departure comes shortly before yet another relaunch 5G which was teased at New York Comic Con.

As a writer at DC, DiDio wrote books include The Phantom Stranger, Sideways, and Metal Men.

No reason for the separation has been given yet.
