Disney CEO Bob Iger announced the start months of two of its Marvel Disney+ streaming series during a earnings call today. On Sunday, we got our first glimpse of the first three Marvel series on Disney+: The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, WandaVision, and Loki. Prior to today, it was only known that The Falcon and The Winter Soldier would launch in the Fall, and WandaVision would be in 2020 (Loki is far out in 2021).
Iger said that The Falcon and The Winter Soldier would start in August, while WandaVision could be viewed in December. No update on when Loki will arrive was given. The CEO also revealed that there were:
“… seven other Marvel series in various stages of development or pre-production.”
We already know about the animated What If…? series and the Hawkeye live-action series, as well as Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, and She-Hulk series. If What If…? is included in the tally, then there may be two yet-to-be-announced/confirmed series in the works.
We’ll keep our eyes peeled for that…
