Animated ‘Howard The Duck’ Series Plucked; ‘Tigra & Dazzler’ Confirmed Axed

As Marvel Television winds down, and Kevin Feige also takes over the small screen, more series are getting cancelled. Today’s casualty is Kevin Smith and Dave Willis‘ animated Marvel’s Howard the Duck. Howard the Duck was announced alongside four other animated projects planned to be streamed on Hulu. Another one of those projects, Tigra & Dazzler, was put on hold last month, with the creative team leaving because of the dreaded “creative differences”. Well, it looks like that project is also dead in the water.

Of the remaining shows, M.O.D.O.K. seems to still be on track, as the voice cast for the show was revealed earlier this week. No recent update on the final show, Hit Monkey, has been made. The four shows were to culiminate in a special (similar to how the Netflix shows led to The Defenders) called The Offenders. With the demise of two of the four series, it doesn’t seem likely that The Offenders will assemble, but we’ll see.

A release date for M.O.D.O.K. hasn’t been announced, but it was planned to be unleashed this year.
