Prelude to Amazing Spider-Man’s Next Storyline Features A Resurrect-Sin (Eater)

It looks like Marvel is prepping for its next Amazing Spider-Man storyline, since they will release a one-shot as a prelude to it. The House of Ideas will put out The Amazing Spider-Man: Sins Rising Prelude #1, featuring a resurrected villain in April. With the word “sin” in a Spider-Man title, you’d be correct in guessing it features his foe the Sin-Eater.

While there have been several Sin-Eaters in the Spider-Man titles (also a couple different ones in Ghost Rider too), this is the first Spidey Sin-Eater Stanley Carter who was featured in the “Death of Jean DeWolff” which started back in 1985’s The Spectacular Spider-Man #107. Like the Supernatural Sin-Eater before him, Carter was *SPOILER* resurrected in Amazing Spider-Man #37 earlier this month.

Since this is a prelude issue, we expect some kind of larger storyline. Not sure if it will be a large event like Spider-Verse, or just an overplayed one like Hunted from last year. Here’s the solicitation for the prelude:
