Marvel’s 80th Anniversary Continues With ‘Marvel Snapshots’

Marvel continues to celebrate its 80th anniversary with a new series of one-shots under the banner of Marvel Snapshots. Sounding similar to other projects he’s authored before (read: 1994’s Marvels), Kurt Busiek will be overseeing this series of eight issues, which will look at its heroic characters from the viewpoint of ordinary people. Also like Busiek’s Marvels, Marvel Snapshots will feature covers by painter Alex Ross.

The first double-sized issue volume will launch in March and will feature Namor, the Sub-Mariner. Busiek is bringing to the issue writer Alan Brennert with artist Jerry Ordway. The issue will be set in World War II, and Betty Dean, and the All-Winners Squad will also appear.
