In October, it was revealed that Marvel was restructuring and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige would be also getting the title of Chief Creative Officer of Marvel Comics. His new position allows him to oversee all of Marvel’s creatives, across TV, film, and publishing.
With this consolidation, Marvel Television will be shutting down, with some employees making the transition to Marvel Studios. Among the employees who won’t be staying with the company include longtime Marvel TV Exec Jeph Loeb, which was revealed in October.
The only live-action program in development at Marvel Television is Helstrom, while four animated series are still in the works which include Howard The Duck, M.O.D.O.K., Hit-Monkey, and Tigra & Dazzler at Hulu.
This restructuring will continue to take power away from Marvel Entertainment Chairman Ike Perlmutter, who is a well-known donor to Trump’s campaign and adviser to the President on VA Affairs. He recently donated the maximum amount of $360,000 to Trump’s re-election campaign.
Remember, when you “Make Mine Marvel”, you might inadvertently be helping Perlmutter to “Make America Great Again.”
