Alamo City Comic Con Currently Owes The City Of San Antonio Over $170,000

When Alamo City Comic Con requested to book the Henry B. González Convention Center in 2019, it was denied due to another event requesting the date. Also because it owes the city of San Antonio over $170,000, according to San Antonio City Manager Carlos Contreras.

According to ACCC founder Apple De La Fuente,

“Due to extenuating circumstances beyond our control that arose after last year’s show, we weren’t able to pay the city’s bill in full.”

De La Fuente followed up that the con was committed to repaying its debts.

“However,” he continued, “ACCC is committed to paying the city everything it’s owed and plans to do so as soon as it can.”

This year’s Alamo City Comic Con takes place at The Grand Hyatt in San Antonio, Texas. This year’s guests include Michael Keaton, Steve “The Gute” Guttenberg, and the kid from The Shining.
