Marvel Shooting For The Affluent Male Demographic With SiriusXM Partnership

Marvel Entertainment is attempting to court the affluent male demographic with a partnership with SiriusXM radio. According to this data, the average SiriusXM listeners are middle-aged males who make over $100,000 a year, are married, and own their own house.

The partnership will see Marvel creating both scripted and unscripted series and themed live events. The first four scripted series will be ten episode series based on Wolverine, Hawkeye, Black Widow, and Star-Lord, with a fifth series about the four of them teaming up. Other podcasts will include an unscripted series looking at Marvel’s history and regular talk shows.

We are excited to introduce an impressive roster of programming with SiriusXM and Pandora, and we can’t wait to share more details in the weeks and months to come.”

Since Marvel already has comics, TV, and movies locked down, it’s only natural for the company to move into the audio market.

The first series are set to release in 2020.
