Disney To Outsource Movie Graphic Novels To Dark Horse

The goal of any comic is to serve as Hollywood IP fodder, so it naturally makes sense for Disney to outsource the creation of graphic novels based on their movies to Dark Horse, since they’re already movies.

Launching this December, Dark Horse will begin the release of a series of graphic novels retelling Disney and Pixar movies. Fitting since Disney is all about remaking their movies. The titles are as follows:

  • Disney Cinderella: The Story of the Movie in Comics
  • Disney and Pixar’s Onward: The Story of the Movie in Comics
  • Disney Alice in Wonderland: The Story of the Movie in Comics
  • Disney Lady and the Tramp: The Story of the Movie in Comics
  • Disney and Pixar’s The Incredibles and Incredibles 2: The Story of the Movies in Comics
  • Disney Moana: The Story of the Movie in Comics
  • Disney Mulan: The Story of the Movie in Comics
  • Disney and Pixar’s Finding Nemo and Finding Dory: The Story of the Movies in Comics
  • Disney Tangled: The Story of the Movie in Comics

The first title to be released is Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story: The Story of the Movies in Comics on December 4, 2019. Each title will be $10.99 and releases will occur throughout 2020.
