Grant Morrison’s Brave New World Coming To NBC’s Peacock

Grant Morrison’s adaptation of Brave New World has settled at NBC’s newly-announced streaming service Peacock. NBC secured the drama which was originally ordered by USA.

Based on Aldous Huxley’s 1932 novel of the same name, Brave New World portrays a utopian society that has achieved peace and stability through strict control of nearly every aspect of civilization. Humans are genetically bred and pharmaceutically anesthetized to passively serve the ruling class and are controlled by a happiness drug, Soma, which encourages a hedonistic lifestyle.

The show will be executive produced by Morrison and David Wiener, who also serves as writer and showrunner. Brave New World stars Alden Ehrenreich, Jessica Brown Findlay, Harry Lloyd, Kylie Bunbury, Hannah John-Kamen, Sen Mitsuji, Joseph Morgan, Nina Sosanya, and Demi Moore.

Peacock is set to launch in 2020.
