Marvel finally provided a little more information on the capper to their 80th anniversary title Incoming #1, which will rain onto comic shelves in December. Alongside that, the company provided a peek at a few other titles launching that month.
There’s a doctor in the house! Doctor Stephen Strange got into a accident that damaged his hands and led him to the mystic life superheroing as Doctor Strange. In Doctor Strange: Surgeon Supreme #1, his hands will be healed and he will have to choose between superheroics and neurosurgeon-heroics. This operation will be written by Mark Waid, with art by Kev Walker, and cover by Phil Noto.
He’s back and this time not to punish, but for revenge. The Cosmic Ghost Rider gets his own title again with Revenge of the Cosmic Ghost Rider #1. CGR is locked up in an intergalactic prison and is ready to start a riot. Revenge of the Cosmic Ghost Rider will be a limited series written by Dennis “Hopeless” Hallum, with art by Scott Hepburn. There’s also a backup tale by the folks who first brought you future Castle, writer Donny Cates and artist Geoff Shaw.
During E3, game company Square Enix finally gave the world a look at their upcoming game based on Marvel’s Avengers. As with Sony‘s Spider-Man game, Marvel is also plugging this upcoming game with a comic tie-in. That comic will be a prequel story to the game titled Marvel’s Avengers: Iron Man #1. The story will involve the Lethal Legion and Tony Stark‘s technology being co-opted again. The title will be brought to you by writer Jim Zub, artist Paco Diaz, and cover artist Stonehouse.
Not content to be just one of many in October’s Spider-Verse title, this little piggy is getting his own series again. This time it won’t be from the Star imprint, and will feature the porcine hero swinging through time alongside Peter Parker, the spectacular Spider-Man. Spider-Ham #1 is being cooked up by writer Zeb Wells, artist Wil Robson, and cover artist Wendell Dalit.
