Ewan McGregor In Talks For Obi-Wan Kenobi In Disney+ Series

Not surprising anyone, but to everyone’s joy, Ewan McGregor is in talks to reprise his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in a Disney+ series. Details for the series are being kept a secret.

McGregor played the role in the three prequels The Phantom Menace (1999), Attack of the Clones (2002), and Revenge of the Sith (2005), in addition to a voice-over in Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015).

Disney was planning on making a standalone Obi-Wan Kenobi movie, but this morphed into a Disney+ series, similar to the way a Boba Fett movie became The Mandalorian.

In non-Star Wars news, McGregor will appear in this year’s Doctor Sleep and Birds of Prey.
