Via its YouTube channel, Marvel is previewing some of its comics for November, including three #1s. First up is the reveal of a teaser posted last month that had the tagline “hail the king” with a silhouetted figure on a throne.
You’d be in good company if you thought that tease was something Doctor Strange related, but it actually is the relaunch (#1000) of another character: Deadpool. Yes, the “hail to the king” tease involved Deadpool, and this time the Merc with the Mouth is going after the king of the monsters in Staten Island. Deadpool #1 will be written by Kelly Thompson, with art by Chris Bachalo.
Next up is a comic who Marvel hopes does not suck, and has its main character trying not to suck. Yes, a new Morbius The Living Vampire title is flapping onto shelves the month after Halloween. Michael Morbius is within reach of curing his vampirism, but what will he become if he does? This title is written by Vita Ayala, with art by Marcelo Ferreira, and a cover by Ryan Brown.
It appears that Absolute Carnage was not absolute enough, because spinning out of that event is a new title featuring a symbiote. Carnage‘s spawn Scream is getting her own title with Scream: Curse of Carnage. But who is bonded with Scream now? Writer Clay McCleod Chapman, artist Chris Mooneyham, and cover artist Jim Cheung will aim to tell you.
Here’s the video with these previews along with a couple of others from currently running series:
Finally another #1 in November not announced in that video. Guardians of the Galaxy member Yondu Udonta gets his own solo series with (take a guess): Yondu. This comic looks to use the version of Yondu that takes his cues from the Marvel Cinematic Universe‘s Yondu, that debuted in 2016’s Star-Lord #1, instead of the original 30th century Yondu from “Earth”-691. Here’s the solicitation for Yondu #1:

Yondu, lone Ravager and all-around scoundrel is about to hit the biggest pay day of his life when he stumbles upon a dangerous new weapon! Plus, when an unexpected visitor from the future turns up to stop Yondu, it begs the question: exactly how bad did he screw up?! Find out in this all-new series from ZAC THOMPSON and LONNIE NADLER (AGE OF X-MAN, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY ANNUAL) and JOHN MCCREA (Dead Eyes)!
