King & Gerads On ‘Strange Adventures’ 2020

We’re not sure if DC intended this news to be a part of San Diego Comic-Con, but the company low-key announced a new title this morning, the last day of SDCC. The “announcement” has 2017’s Mister Miracle creators writer Tom King and artist Mitch Gerads, along with artist Evan “Doc” Shaner associated with a new Strange Adventures title in 2020:

The tweet shows two images of Adam Strange, one darker by Gerads, and another bright and shiny by Shaner.

Strange Adventures was first published in 1950 and has had multiple re-briths since then. The earthman zapped into space, Adam Strange, first appeared in 1958’s Showcase #17. The character first showed up in the pages of Strange Adventures in issue #217 in 1969.

We’ll find out more about this title before it launches… we think…
