Not Content With Letting Marvel Rehash Old Events, DC To Rehash Old Events With “Dark Twists”

Scott Snyder is known for putting his own personal touches on the Batman mythos through events like Zero Year, The Court of Owls, and Death of the Family. But now Snyder is putting those personal touches on other Batman stories. In a series of prestige one-shots, DC will put dark twists on classic stories from its past.

TALES FROM THE DARK MULTIVERSE: BATMAN: KNIGHTFALL #1 is written by Snyder and Kyle Higgins, with art by Javier Fernandez. This one-shot will see a universe where Bruce Wayne hasn’t taken back the mantle from Jean-Paul Valley, also known as Saint Batman, and Gotham lives in perpetual fear. The issue is set to release October 16.

TALES FROM THE DARK MULTIVERSE: THE DEATH OF SUPERMAN #1 is written by Jeff Loveness, with art by Brad Walker and Andrew Hennessy. This one-shot will see a universe where Lois Lane becomes the Eradicator and takes revenge on those that let Superman die. The issue is set to release October 30.

Each issue will be 48 pages for $5.99 and other events to be adapted include Infinite Crisis, Blackest Night, New Titan Titans, and The Judas Contract.
