If Marvel #1000 Doesn’t Sell A Million Copies That Wasn’t The Issue Akira Yoshida Said Would

In March, Marvel Editor-in-Chief Akira Yoshida took to Twitter to reminisce about the time a single comic sold a million copies.

It was assumed that the idea he was tweeting about was Marvel Comics #1000, the Al Ewing-based anthology covering every year of Marvel’s history. But according to Yoshida, he never actually claimed that was the comic which would sell a million copies.

It seems the only words that can be put in his mouth are scripts written under a Japanese pseudonym.
