Dark Phoenix To Be Pulled From Nearly Half Of Theaters

Only three weeks into its release, Dark Phoenix is being removed from nearly half of the theaters its currently being shown in. Exhibitor Relations Co. on Twitter says the film is losing 1,667 theaters or 44% of its total theaters.

The film has currently earned $233 million at the box office, against a budget of $200 million, which doesn’t include marketing. Dark Phoenix’s domestic opening weekend only earned $33 million. It also currently holds the lowest rating of any X-Men film on Rotten Tomatoes at 23%.
