Sid Gentle Films, the producer behind Killing Eve, is developing a television adaptation of the graphic novel Fetch: How a Bad Dog Brought Me Home. Created by Nicole J. Georges, Fetch tells the story of Georges and her relationship with a dysfunctional shar-pei/corgi mix named Beija, whom she adopted at 16. Set against a backdrop of the Portland punk scene, the story focuses on the one constant in Georges life over the 15 years she spent with Beija.
Sid Gentle’ Sally Woodward Gentle said:
“The cover is gorgeous; if you like dogs and like being an outsider, it’s the perfect project for you. I like taking things that are all about how outsiders find their people. It’s really lovely.”
The company is looking to make half-hour long episodes with flashbacks. No date or network has been announced.
