Sony Just Discovers It Can Adapt Playstation Games To Other Media

Sony Interactive Entertainment has created PlayStation Productions, an in-house production studio to develop television and movie projects based on the Playstation’s video game library. The company recently realized that it can adapt games it owns to other media.

SIE chairman Shawn Layden EXXXCLUSIVELY told comicspit, “Did you know this was a thing? Cause I sure didn’t. Wow.”

Unlike other video game companies which license properties out to studios, Sony can do everything in-house including distribution through Sony Pictures. The studio is also taking inspiration and cues from Marvel in how to create a shared cinematic universe.

Playstation Productions is already working on several adaptations, but no titles have been revealed. Possible properties Sony could use include Trash Panic, Everybody Dance, and Super Rub ‘a’ Dub.
