In Attempt To Counter Global Warming, Marvel Cancels Swimsuit Comic Revival Marvel Summer Special #1

With global temperatures at record highs, Marvel Comics has decided to shelve its swimsuit comic revival issue Marvel Summer Special #1, according to an announcement to retailers. The only creator attached to the issue as of its cancellation was cover artist Ron Lim. The one-shot was announced in April for a July release.

In an EXXXCLUSIVE, Marvel Editor-in-Chief Akira Yoshida told comicspit, “Former Marvel Comics CEO Ike Perlmutter is a huge Trump supporter, going so far as to advise him on veterans affairs. So we’re doing what we can to combat the damage done by the President’s stance on global warming. We’re cancelling the hottest book of this summer. Imagine how much the temperature would’ve risen had we released images of Cyclops in a Speedo playing volleyball. It kind of balances out in the end anyway, doesn’t it?”
