Back before the new Star Wars trilogy of movies launched, it was announced that a new canon was being established and that the new movie would be preceded by a line of publications under the banner Journey to Star Wars: The Force Awakens. A similar effort was made for the next movie in the trilogy with the publications falling under the Journey to Star Wars: The Last Jedi line. Well the pattern continues and on this Star Wars Day, May the fourth, Lucasfilm is announcing their new lineup for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, named (can you guess?) Journey to Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
The lineup currently numbers over 20 publications, from little children’s books, to adult novelizations, and activity and reference books (including this writer’s favorites “The Art of” and “Visual Dictonary” titles). Once again, comic fans are not left out, and two titles (for now) have been listed as part of the journey.
