Failed Solo Directors Phil Lord And Chris Miller To Develop Spider-Man Universe TV Series

Writer/directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller have been tapped by Sony to create live-action and animated shows based on Sony’s Spider-verse movies. The overall deal is for 5 years and reportedly 9 figures. It also allows Lord and Miller to develop their own projects for network, cable and streaming platforms.

The pair recently won an Oscar for Spider-man: Into the Spider-verse. Their Executive Producing credits include The Last Man On Earth, Making History, and Son of Zorn. Other projects include Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, The Lego Movie, 21 Jump Street, and 22 Jump Street. The duo once worked on Solo, but Disney fired them due to their improv directorial style.
