Two tracks of Bear McCreary’s ‘Godzilla: King of the Monsters’ Score Released!

Today the WaterTower label (a division of Warner Bros. that handles their orchestral scores for their various media properties) released not only two tracks of Bear McCreary’s score for Godzilla: King of the Monsters, but also the full score playlist.

I will not post the later, since that does delve into semi-spoilery territory (this film deserves that unlike say other properties in media that haven’t). But I will post the two tracks. The first is an orchestral theme for the movie. I think many die-hard Godzilla fans might be pleased with what you’ll be hearing:

Yes, that is some hints of Akira Ifukube’s theme in the song above. We know more of the famed of the iconic composer will be included in the film. This track just seems to be the tip of the iceberg.

The other track is a variation of the classic Blue Cult Oyster song:

So far, these are the only two tracks posted, more could follow, but these are enough of a good teaser for what’s to come. Godzilla: King of the Monsters storms into theaters on May 31st.
