‘Masters of the Universe’ Relaunch Movie Pushed Back to 2020!

This movie just seems cursed. Literally figuratively cursed. The movie has gone thru so many directors and writers it’s hard to even keep count what the actual story for this revamp of the classic 80s property will entail.

All, that’s for truly certain are two things:

#1 That Sony has officially pushed the movie from it’s original December 18, 2019 release date to sometime in 2020. This according via a tweet from Exhibitor Relations:

#2 We always will have the 1988 movie starring Dolph Lundgren and Frank Langella. HEY! That gives me reason enough to post this clip from said movie:

I swear that movie ages like a fine wine. It gets better with each viewing.

Another bit of interesting detail is that Exhibitor Relations also is saying that the Nee Brothers (the brotherly duo attached to directing the film) aren’t fully signed on as directors (nor is
Noah Centineo been confirmed to play Prince Adam/He-Man).

So what does this mean? Well, it sounds like just another notch to the hell any creator had in dealing with this property for Sony. If there are any more answers to these questions we’ll let you know.

Until then Sony’s revamped Masters of the Universe movie will possibly not really be released in 2020.

  1. Sorry, apart from the themetune for the cartoon, what was actually good about He-Man? they were all on steroids, no one got together (although Man at Arms with his tache looked like he might be into He-Man) and no one knew what the secrets were.

See me lay waste to the movie that is as bad today as it was in 1987. Timeless garbage
