Bad Weekend Spins Out Of Brubaker And Phillips’ Criminal

First appearing in the second and third issue of the latest volume of Criminal, Bad Weekend is getting its own spin-off graphic novel. From writer Ed Brubaker and artist Sean Phillips, Bad Weekend tells the story of Hal Crane, a cartoonist, who uses his convention appearance to settle old scores over missing artwork.

The standalone hardcover will include new and extended scenes based on the original story, in a similar format to their other graphic novel My Heroes Have Always Been Junkies.

Bad Weekend is set to release July 10, just in time for San Diego Comic Con.
