Two Castmembers Disembark ‘Star Trek: Discovery’ By The End Of Season Two

First of all, Comics Pit shocker, there will be a third season for CBS All AccessStar Trek: Discovery. Okay, that’s old news, but we missed reporting on it okay? The second shocker, two of the Discovery castmembers will be leaving the show before the end of season two.

What probably isn’t too much of a shock is who will be leaving. At the start of season two, the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise joined the Discovery crew for a mission. The crew of the Enterprise of course will chart a different course after their meeting with Discovery, so the crew will go on its own way. This means Captain Pike (Anson Mount) and Number One (Rebecca Romijn) will be departing the show. Though they didn’t announce it, shouldn’t Spock (Ethan Peck) be on his way as well? Guess we’ll (or at least those with a CBS All Access subscription) shall see.

Star Trek: Discovery season 2 should be ending after mid-April. No start date for season 3 has been announced.
