Classic Creators Return In June For ‘Wolverine’ And ‘Hulk’ One-Shots

Marvel continues to celebrate its 80th anniversary by pushing out more one-shots. For two of its popular characters, the company is also bringing back some classic creators who have worked on them to join in for the fun.

Of course Wolverine will get a one-shot, Wolverine: Exit Wounds, which will bring back several creators to pen three different tales for the hairy one. Chris Claremont will be teaming up with Salvador Larroca for a story set during the end of the Kitty Pryde and Wolverine mini-series, and will depict new adventures for Wolverine, Kitty, and Yukio. Larry Hama will also be writing a story, as will Sam Keith. Keith and the mysterious “and more” will contribute art for the one-shot.

Here’s the solicitation for the issue:

Wolverine was first introduced in the pages of The Incredible Hulk, and the Jade Giant will also be getting his own one-shot. For the Hulk‘s one-shot, Incredible Hulk: Last Call, things will be more focused. Writer Peter David and artist Dale Keown will be back for this story which will feature a “fight worthy of the Incredible Hulk”.

Here is the solicitation for the issue:

  • In his twelve-year stint on THE INCREDIBLE HULK, Peter David redefined the Green Goliath for generations of fans and creators. Artist Dale Keown drew some of that run’s most beloved and influential issues. Now the pair return to their incredible collaboration for a special oversized one-shot issue! Bruce Banner is tired of being the Hulk. Heck, he’s tired of being. But just when he’s about to lose all hope, a miracle occurs: a fight worthy of the Incredible Hulk.
