Wes Ball’s Mouse Guard Movie Picks Up Andy Serkis And Thomas Brodie-Sangster

Wes Ball’s film adaptation of David Petersen’s Mouse Guard has picked up its stars in the forms of Andy Serkis and Thomas Brodie-Sangster.

Serkis will play the villain of the story, the Guard’s Blacksmith known as Midnight. Brodie-Sangster will play Lieam, a new member of the Guard who has to prove his bravery.

Mouse Guard is being shot using motion capture and will have visual effects by WETA.

Matt Reeves is producing alongside BOOM!’s Ross Richie and Stephen Christy as well as Joe Hartwick Jr.

Serkis is best known for his performances in Lord of the Rings and Planet of the Apes. Brodie-Sangster’s credits include Ball’s Maze Runner trilogy, Love, Actually and Nowhere Boy.
