During a press junket promoting the upcoming Captain Marvel, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said that the studio will wait until after the release of Avengers: Endgame to reveal any additions to its film slate. Feige told TVandMoviesDotCom:
“As we’ve been doing for years, we aren’t going to announce anything post Avengers: Endgameor Spider-Man [Far From Home] until post Endgame and Spider-Man.As you know as a fan, there’s a tremendous amount of potential and a tremendous amount of additional characters and storylines and groups of characters that we’re going to keep playing with. And again, that’s a testament to Marvel and to the amount of storylines and characters and amazing, amazing runs that have been in the Marvel comics.”
While it’s already known that Marvel Studios has a few films in the works (Black Panther 2, Black Widow, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3), the company is waiting until after the Marvel Cinematic Universe-changing film opens on April 26, 2019 to announce films for the characters who haven’t died at the end.
